Hair breakage is a common sign of damaged hair. Over the years we can do a lot of damage to our hair between heating products, perms, coloring, etc. It's not uncommon to never give hair a break. Usually hair breakage occurs from very dry or brittle hair. One way to get moisture back is to try deep conditioning. Going to a salon and getting professional help is a good way to get started on a regimen to restore moisture as well as having hair trimmed to remove split ends.
Repairing Damaged Hair
One way to start repairing damaged hair is to start from the inside out. Are you eating healthy at least 80% of the time? Are you exercising regularly? Do you get enough rest? Are you able to reduce or eliminate stress from your life? Health plays an important role in how hair grows.
Give your hair a break. If you use heating products daily such as flat irons, curling irons, or hair dryers - give them a rest. If you dye your hair too often, cut back. You may not like giving up those things for a short period of time but your hair will thank you for it. You may even discover better ways to style your hair that won't cause damage.
